The Universal Music UK Sound Foundation (UMUKSF) Student Award

Funding for eligible students, up to year 11 and in full-time education in the UK, to help purchase musical instruments or equipment.

Applicants must meet nationality or residency requirements and be receiving regular music lessons at school or studying a certified full-time music course.

Funding cannot cover lessons, fees, travel, accommodation, deposits or retrospective purchases. Applications are online, with a reference required from a current independent music teacher.

Funding is provided by the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation through its Individual Funding programme. To date, the Foundation has helped over 10,000 students, schools, and teachers improve their access to music.
