Grants to help children and young people to fulfil their potential and improve their wellbeing, self-esteem, and independence through educational and sporting activities

“I’ve got an idea” Fund for novel technical ideas

Grants available for schools and groups of school children with an idea to test that could deliver either an environmental or social benefit.

Henry Smith holiday grants

Funding to support recreational travel for groups of disabled or disadvantaged children. Two rounds of application dates for trips taken in 2024.

Sasakawa Foundation funding to build Japanese UK relations

Japanese UK exchange funding for schools. Deadlines for applications 31st March, 15th September and 15th December 2024.

Learning through Landscapes – Local school nature grant programme

Free outdoor equipment and two hours of professional outdoor training for schools. 2024 deadlines: 26th April, 6th September & 8th November.

Baily Thomas general grants

General grants to help both children and adults suffering severe learning difficulties, together with autism

Free trees for schools from The Woodland Trust

Free trees for schools. Deadline August or sooner for trees delivered by November 2024.

The Classical Association Grants

Funding for schools to teach classical subjects and projects. Deadlines 1st March, June, September & December 2024

Ironmongers’ Company – developing learning, motivation and skills

Opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people to fulfil their potential by developing their learning, motivation and skills. Deadline 31st July 2024.

Partnership Grants for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Grants to support science, mathematics, engineering or computing (STEM) projects for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Applications open February 2024.

Royal Society – Tomorrow’s Climate Scientists Programme

Funding for students to take action to address climate and biodiversity issues. Applications open February 2024.

The Royal Society of Chemistry’s Primary Science Teaching Empowerment Fund

Grants to support the teaching of science in primary schools in the UK. Applications open 13th February 2024

Half-term Prize Draw funding from Twinkl

Any school can apply for a half-termly Prize Draw for any project. Deadlines are per-term, until Summer 2024.

The British & Foreign Schools Society (BFSS) to support education

Long term funding to improve educational outcomes of children from disadvantaged areas.
